Institutional Values
Honesty
Honesty is a human quality that consists in behaving and expressing oneself with coherence and sincerity, according to the values of truth and justice. In its most obvious sense, honesty can be understood as the simple respect for the truth in relation to the world, the facts and the people; in other senses, honesty also implies the relationship between the subject and the others, and the subject with himself.
Commitment
The value of commitment goes beyond fulfilling an obligation; it is to put at stake our capacities to bring forward what we have been entrusted with. Finally accepting a compromise implies that all the aspects, scopes and obligations involved are known; the reality that we believe in fulfills our commitments.
Responsibility
Responsibility is a moral value in a person’s conscience that allows him to reflect, manage, guide and value the consequences of his actions. Once responsibility passes to the ethical level (implementation), the magnitude of a person’s actions is established, and it is possible to deal with them in the most positive and integral way, always in favor of the work, social, cultural, and natural improvement. A responsible person is one who acts consciously, responding to the direct or indirect cause of something that has occurred. A responsible person is obligated to answer for something or someone. A responsible person is also the one who fulfills his obligations and puts care and attention in what he does or decides.
Solidarity
Solidarity is an attitude and behavior; an attitude because it inclines us to respond favorably to the needs of our group, neighbor and a behavior when it is solidified in actions.
Service
We can consider service as providing spontaneous help in the smallest details, using our high sense of collaboration to make life lighter for others. Service is a permanent attitude of collaboration towards others.
Generosity
The value of generosity consists in giving to others beyond what we are required. It implies the ability to get out of ourselves and, by an act of love, to focus on the needs of others. Generosity is expressed in different dimensions of human action. The material dimension means to share our belongings. The spiritual dimension consists in putting our capacities and attributes to the service of those around us.
Excellence
Excellence is a word that makes it possible to highlight the considerable quality that makes an individual or object worth of high esteem and appreciation. The notion of excellence, therefore, relates to the idea of perfection and outstanding features. The term points out that which is above the rest lacking flaws or weak points. It can be a product of proven or innovative quality. In the case of human beings, excellence makes mention of some capacity or ability out of the ordinary or a talent difficult to match. It can also be a very high moral condition.
Ethic
The ethic has as an object the acts that the human being performs in a conscious and free way (meaning, those acts on which it exerts a rational control). It is not limited to see how those acts are performed, but rather seeks to make a judgment about them, which allows to determine whether an act has been ethically good or ethically bad.
