What does Tlahuilli mean?

Tlahuilli is a Nahuatl word that has several meanings: it can mean a guide for one’s conduct, it can mean to enlighten a person in the sense of educating them, and it can mean to orient a person’s path through education.

In Tlahuilli the school project realizes the deepest meaning of its mission, of its commitment to students, parents, teachers and all those who are part of its educational community.

Tlahuilli is a place where we intend to enlighten the lives of the children who come to us. Illuminate their path with a light that makes them able to take firm steps, confident in their abilities, confident that we, their teachers, are there, just a few steps attentive to their call, their needs, but letting them explore the world by themselves.

We want as well to shine a light on the parents’ paths and give them help so they can fulfill the greatest of their responsibilities: to educate their children. We want to create bonds that allow us to guide our children with love and authority.

Tlahuilli also recognizes its commitment to its teachers, it wants to be a guide for them, so that each of them develops their professional skills while strengthening their virtues. Their work is important to all of us.

Tlahuilli realizes the recognition for social commitment that it has acquired, and it is committed to ensure that its light always contributes to the social welfare of the community to which it belongs.
