Educational Philosophy
At Centro Escolar Tlahuilli, whenever we talk about education, we will talk about hope, hope in the infinite possibility that humans possess to improve, to be better.
At Centro Escolar Tlahuilli, when we talk about education, we also talk about trust, commitment, and responsibility.
Centro Escolar Tlahuilli, will always have in mind that the purpose of the educational process is a human being in training, a human being in growth and evolution that must come to the conquest of itself, to be autonomous and not a thing that can be manipulated.
We want to make our school a close, familiar place, where our students know they are an important part, because it is in school where children begin to expand their world.
At Centro Escolar Tlahuilli, it is fundamental to see the child as unique, free and in possession of an inalienable dignity.
Respect for the human person is then our first principle and the foundation of our institutional philosophy.
To respect a student’s nature is to help him or her, to guide him, to encourage him to deploy his humanity, to create a life project that guarantees his happiness.
To respect him is to make him responsible for his life, to give him tools to be the main character of his own perfection.
To respect him is to contribute to his socialization process, to teach him to give, but above all, to give to others and find in that satisfaction and personal fulfillment.
To develop our students’ autonomy is therefore the main target of education, our mission is to make them grow, to make them mature in all aspects: body, emotions, reason and good will; to activate all their abilities and talents, to honor the human spirit in each of them.
To educate is neither to inform nor to give knowledge, much less to solve life’s problems. It is to nurture one’s thinking and judgment, it is to intensify one’s values, it is to nurture one’s humanity via the four type of learning that people need for their development: learn to know, learn to do, learn to live together and learn to be.
All of this must take place under a climate of love and authority, because to educate you must want the improvement and success of the other.
The most valuable thing about educating is to make a human being out of a man.
